Hi everyone. Let me start by saying this is one of those “just getting started” blog posts. It doesn’t aim to teach anything groundbreaking—it’s simply a short introduction and a bit of my story.

How It All Started
I’m 29, recently married, and I’ve been involved in web design and development since I was about 15. My journey started during high school when I created an unofficial forum for my school. It wasn’t anything advanced, but at the time, having your own website felt like owning something extraordinary.
Back then, I thought I was doing something incredibly technical. In reality, most of what I was doing involved managing shared hosting and installing ready-made systems. Still, it was enough to get me hooked.
That phase ended abruptly when I tried to modify the forum’s theme and ended up breaking the entire site. I couldn’t fix it, couldn’t even understand what went wrong—and just like that, my confidence took a hit.
Discovering the Real Work Behind the Scenes
That moment pushed me to actually learn how things worked. I joined online communities, spent hours reading forums, and slowly started exploring the fundamentals.
I began with Flash, which at the time felt like the future of the web. Then came HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The deeper I went, the more I realized there was no end to this field.
Like many beginners, I built websites that I would probably struggle to look at today. But those early projects were necessary. They taught me what works—and more importantly, what doesn’t.
Then reality hit again.
First, Flash started losing support. Then browsers moved away from it entirely. And one simple question from a client completely changed my perspective:
“How can we update this website?”
I didn’t have a good answer.
Learning the Backend and Building From Scratch
That question forced me to look beyond design and into development. I started learning backend technologies, and PHP became my first serious step into that world.
At one point, I built my own content management system. It wasn’t great—far from it. It was full of limitations and mistakes. But it was mine, and it taught me more than any tutorial ever could.
Over time, I kept improving. I moved into modern technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, and mobile development. I built systems, experimented with different approaches, and gradually replaced ready-made solutions with my own.
Expanding Beyond Design
Eventually, I realized that building a product doesn’t stop at design or development. If no one sees it, it doesn’t matter how well it’s built.
That’s when I started learning about SEO and digital marketing. Understanding how to attract users and grow products became just as important as building them.
Today, my work spans multiple areas—from frontend and backend development to user experience and digital strategy.
Still Learning, Still Growing
If you ask me whether I’ve “made it,” my answer is simple: not really.
The only difference between now and my early years is that I no longer think I know everything. In a field that evolves this quickly, that mindset doesn’t last long anyway.
There’s always something new to learn, something to improve, and something to rethink.
